Wasn’t I just whining that the peony season was over? Lo and behold I picked up some frilly pinks at Costco the other day! And the Essie nail polish…well, I had to see what all the fuss was about. I picked that up at Target. Pretty! My only complaint is that I didn’t go neutral enough. I have a hard time buying neutral because I think, “Oh, but this brighter color is so much more interesting and I’m just throwing my money away on Boredomsville!” I should learn to trust my gut. Live and learn.
P.S. Lonny for July/August is live. Whee!

Neutrals might be good for decorating, but most neutrals on nails and lips look like death on most people. Plus, it’s not fashionable to wear winter and fall colors during spring and summer. I can’t stand it when I see gross whites, tans and dark, muddy colors on nails. Looks like fungus to me.

I especially love bright pink, red, and coral nail colors. My nail painting skills are PAINfully bad, are is my faithfulness in removing old paint! So I’m sticking with light pinks. Not, thankfully ‘dead flesh beige.’ I just read that phrase in a book and it made me laugh. How do you feel about pale, almost white paint? I saw it in a JCrew gal and thought it looked great. I tried it and you could tell my mom thought it was rank.
